Our team is led by the company’s founder (Graeme Browne) and our general manager (Peter Gallant). Together, these principle partners have successfully led our company operations, while each demonstrates some 35+ years of experience as a Certified Master Technician. That in itself – is no small feat!

Respectively, we are ranked as one of Alberta’s best alarm companies and further specialize in card access control systems and electronic entry systems. While also known to be a leading security integration firm, we are unique in the respect that we service everything from electronic security systems to the mechanical locking hardware that keeps your business’s doors “secured”. Graeme Browne, CPL/CJL

As our principal owner and founder, Graeme Browne brings a wealth of trade skills and industry certifications to our company. Being an expert alarm technician and access control specialist, Graeme is further certified as a (CJL) Certified Journeyman Locksmith with more than 35 years of industry experience. In addition, he proudly retains a CPL designation as a Certified Professional Locksmith through ALOA (Associated Locksmiths of America).

Graeme started his career in security back in 1983 and has gone on to become one of the top security specialists in Western Canada. Having also worked for some of the largest global security firms in the world, he carries impeccable credentials including a wealth of experience with commercial surveillance systems, safes and vaults, and professional sales & business management. Based here in Edmonton, he manages the day-to-day operations of the company while also focusing on the strategic growth & development of Union Alarm.

Peter Gallant, CML

A general manager and co-founder, Peter Gallant is a 35+ year master technician who brings a heavy skillset to the company. Highly respected in the industry, Peter has designed and implemented some of the largest security systems in Western Canada. His knowledge of electronic circuits, logic controls, and systems design is world-class in all respects. Having started his career in Manitoba, Peter retains a CML designation as a Certified Master Locksmith and is further licensed as an Electrical Contractor. In addition, Peter is M-V Licensed for low-voltage cabling and low-voltage electrical installations.

While specializing in the integration of security systems, Peter is fluid in everything from basic alarm systems to enterprise-level platforms for large commercial and industrial sites. This includes a wealth of knowledge with card access control systems, integration of network-based security solutions, and large video surveillance systems. Customers love him, and a couple of firms have tried to adopt him! Seriously!

Devon Browne

A recent addition to the team, Devon Browne joins Union Alarm Edmonton and brings a diverse young personality to the mix. Having recently graduated from his academic studies, he will now be mentored while working under his father (Graeme) to learn the intricacies of the security trade. In his role as a sales executive, he will undertake an advanced course in professional sales and marketing from one of the industry’s best.

Already accomplished in digital arts and graphics design, Devon has also directed his unique talents behind the scenes at Union Alarm as he pitches in to work on our website graphics and the development of our sales and marketing materials. Once fluent with commercial security systems and has spent a few years in the field, Devon will further extend his studies to earn a BA in Business with plans to attend University here in Edmonton. We welcome Devon to our team and trust he will lead our company’s installation team into the future.

Christine Browne

As a partner and co-founder, Christine Browne brings a wealth of H/R experience and design skills to the company. While being responsible for our website design and platform development, she heads up major initiatives with our marketing campaigns, SEO development and strategic growth. Christine has a background in website development for a major oil & gas firm while also developing an intranet platform for their H/R team.

She’s an integral part of the management here at Union Alarm Edmonton, and she’s part of the fabric that keeps us glued together. In addition, she’s responsible for all employment contracts, monitoring contracts, and all service contracts under Union Alarm. Did I mention she holds signing authority when it comes to any unsanctioned spending? It’s true!
